Groundwork and concrete bases

All of our industrial steel buildings are erected on concrete foundation slabs. When you purchase one of our buildings, our structural engineers will look at the design and create an appropriate foundation plan that you can take to any groundwork company to lay the concrete base. All reinforcement types (rebar) and quantities will be included in this design, as will the concrete specification.

Ground surveys will need to be conducted in many cases to ensure that concrete pews or other alternative foundation solutions are not needed if the ground is particularly soft or unstable. We aim to keep our buildings as light as possible to minimise the risk of this.
